The Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes around 30% off the upfront cost of a home battery. You don’t apply for it and you don’t wait to be reimbursed — it comes off your quote before you pay anything.
To qualify you need rooftop solar (new or existing), a battery between 5 kWh and 100 kWh, and an accredited installer. Liam is accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia and completes the paperwork himself.
The program changed on 1 May 2026 and the rate now steps down twice a year, so the figure that applies to your job is set by your installation date. Sizing also matters more than it used to — bigger is no longer automatically better value.
