How much does a solar battery cost in Adelaide?
If you already have solar panels — or you are planning to install them — a home battery is one of the most asked-about upgrades in Adelaide. The honest answer is that the price depends on the size of the battery, but here are the real installed prices at Moz Electrical, with no hidden extras:
Home battery prices — installed, rebate already taken off
| Battery size | Installed price (from) |
|---|---|
| 13.92kWh | $3,800 |
| 20.88kWh | $5,800 |
| 27.84kWh | $7,990 |
| 34.80kWh | $9,990 |
| 41.76kWh | $11,990 |
All prices include an inverter and installation by a licensed Adelaide electrician. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program discount is already taken off the prices shown — there is no rebate paperwork for you to chase. Shown as “from” prices because the final cost depends on your site; Liam confirms everything before any work starts.

What affects the price?
Battery size. A bigger battery stores more of your daytime solar for use at night, and costs more. The right size depends on how much power you use in the evening and how much solar your system generates during the day.
Your inverter and phase. Prices include an inverter — the 9.9kW Fox ESS KH9.9 for single phase, or the 10kW Fox ESS H3-Smart-10.0 for three phase. Your home’s setup determines which one your system needs.
Your existing solar system. If you already have solar, we can usually add a battery to it. If you are planning solar, talk to Liam first so the system is sized together.
Your site. Things like the distance from your switchboard and the condition of your existing electrical setup can affect the final price, which is why every quote is confirmed before any work begins.
The federal rebate — and why timing matters
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program discount is already included in the prices above, and the rebate steps down again on 1 January 2027, so installing before then locks in the higher discount. See our home battery rebate guide for how the discount works.
Who installs the battery?
Liam — a licensed Adelaide electrician based in Glenelg. From the first phone call through to installation, you deal directly with the electrician doing the work, not a salesperson or a subcontractor.
